THE PROJECT
The “Le Vie del Rosmarino” project “Le Vie del Rosmarino” is a cultural and social regeneration project jointly promoted by the Municipalities of Alcara Li Fusi and San Marco d’Alunzio, and funded by the European Union through the NRRP – National Recovery and Resilience Plan, under Measure M1C3 – Culture 4.0, Investment 2.1 “Attractiveness of Small Historic Towns” . The initiative was set up to rediscover the authentic identity of our venues, promoting a form of slow, experiential and immersive tourism that connects people, landscapes and memories. The main project activities Redevelopment of rural trails between Alcara Li Fusi and San Marco d’Alunzio, with the creation of accessible, safe cycling and walking routes and hiking trails integrated into the natural environment; Creation of a theme-based digital platform, a reference point for tourists, local residents and operators: an information ecosystem with interactive fact sheets, personalised itineraries, integrated services and historical content; Launch of digital services for hospitality and mobility, including multilingual front office, guided experiential tours and tools for interactive enjoyment of local heritage; Promotion of cultural events, educational activities and creative workshops to engage the local community, recount traditions and pass on knowledge to new generations; Training new local professionals – guides, local entertainers, digital operators – to generate employment and boost the skills of young people in the area. A new development model “Le Vie del Rosmarino” is not just a tourism project. It is a pathway for the rebirth of small towns, a vision that combines the environment, culture, technology and social cohesion.
